Description of Tested Tactic
Test of weed suppression allelopathic ability of rye cover crop (cv. Primizia) destroyed before the main crop is sown, and left as dead mulch during the crop, in a no-tillage system.
Rye was used as a cover crop to control summer weeds in a following maize crop, due to allelopathic potential.
Description of Reference System
Conventionnal tillage system, with different N fertilization rates for the main maize crop.
control pots without mulch were included in the test for experiment A and for experiment B control was plots without N fertilization
