Description of Tested Tactic
Herbicides were applied onseedlings at the 4–6 true leaf stage, using bench sprayers equipped with (i) one even distribution flatspray nozzle (TeeJet, 8003) delivering 350 L ha1at apressure of 270 kPa (Greece), (ii) three flat fan (ex-tended range) hydraulic nozzles (Teejet, 11002) deliver-ing 300 L ha1at a pressure of 215 kPa (Italy) or (iii)one nozzle (Albuz 110-04) delivering 300 L ha1at400 kPa (France).
