Seven year of result with different treatment in comparison each year: Materbi mulch; Mimgreen paper mulch; brush weeder ; Inter-row cultivation + torsion weeder; Inter-row cultivation + finger weeder; Flex tine harrowing; Flaming. (some years used in different combination and or frequency)
test of different weeding tools for mechanical control : manual flamer, flex-tine harrow, torsion weeder, finger weeder, horizontal PTO-driven brush hoe, PE mulching (control treatment), Tools used alone or in combination
Untreated control; Polyethylene mulch; Mater-Bi mulch; Mimgreen mulch; Brush weeder (one time); Brush weeder followed by flamer; Brush weeder (two times); Torsion weeder followed by brush; Torsion weeder (+cultivator 2008); Finger weeder (+cultivator 2008); Harrow; Harrow followed by flamer; Harrow followed by brush; Flaming (three times)
